This past weekend at The Tennis Center at College Park in College Park, MD, 40 young tennis players were treated to a once in a lifetime chance to go through Combine360 Testing and the chance to receive on-court instruction from tennis coaching legend, Nick Bollettieri at the first Under Armour Tennis Combine Weekend. On Saturday players went through the first Tennis Combine360 Testing to be held off the campus of IMG Academies in Bradenton, FL. The Combine360 Test measures an athlete’s true potential, testing not only their physical abilities in areas such as speed, agility and strength but also showing their character, nutrition knowledge and communication abilities. Following the Combine360 test, the players then received on-court instruction from the professionals at IMG Bollettieri Tennis Academy, showing them the same training that is used to produce some of the world’s greatest players.
Sunday was a great day for all involved getting the rare chance to receive one-on-one instruction from Nick Bollettieri, coach of ten #1 players in the world – Agassi, Becker, Courier, Hingis, Jankovic, Rios, Seles, Sharapova and Venus and Serena Williams, as well as a multitude of other world‐class players, including: Haas, Kournikova, Arias and Vaidisova, to name a few. Through hands-on instruction working on not only their forehands and backhands, but also their character and how to become a champion on and off the court. Players and parents alike were thrilled with the chance to work with Bollettieri and his academy’s staff, learning about how to train to be a better tennis player and athlete all while performing in Under Armour apparel.
